Malaysia TuneTalk is launching in Thailand after entering into agreement with Loxley and re-branding its existing i-Kool 3G network.
Loxley has been an MVNO of state-owned telco TOT Corporation since 27 November 2009. TuneTalk in Malaysia is likewise an MVNO running on the Celcom network.
The partnership will also bring in budget carrier AirAsia, with call credits earning points towards plane flights.
I-Kool was one of the first MNVOs to launch in Thailand but – like the other MVNOs – has suffered from lack of network coverage, capacity and also from a flaky billing system that it had to re-write one year into its operations.
