New UK MVNO – PLDT, Smart Pinoy
PLDT has finally launched its UK MVNO, Smart Pinoy UK with its official party, on Saturday the 15th of December.The official launch party was held in London, at The Brewery, and was attended by leading Distributors, and representatives from PLDT, and from the UK Mobile community.
The program was in its soft launch, during the month of November, and has finally been fully vetted and tested. The MVNO has been enabled through a partnership with Teleena, a Mobile Network Virtual Enabler which leads us to believe that it use’s Vodafone’s Network.
Call Rates, are standard MVNO rates, with £0.10 p/min for UK Mobile & SMS, or £0.05 for UK Fixed. Calls to the Philippines Mobile cost £0.13 p/min, and fixed costs £0.10 while Philippines text cost £0.12
For every top-up of £5, £10, £20 and £30, customers will also receive 10, 20, 30 and 40 free on-net minutes and SMS, respectively. Promo is valid until March 2013.
