The mobile is set to become a huge influence on cloud computing, with the so-called “mobile cloud” emerging as the next trend expected to impact not only enterprise IT management, but also the wireless world. As several observers have noted, just like electricity and water, the Internet – for the most part – will be everywhere. Although the mobile cloud still faces significant challenges – such as mobile broadband availability, cloud interoperability and security – more and more enterprises are expected to begin using mobile cloud services in the not too distant future. This new scenario of mobile cloud can present opportunities for carriers, along with challenges.
