Virgin Mobile France sees customer numbers slip but focus now on post-paid sector

The French mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Virgin Mobile France claimed 1.88 million customers at the end of September, down from 2.01 million twelve months earlier. The news will not have come as a disappointment for the firm, however, as it has been actively targeting higher usage post-paid customers while letting go of less lucrative pre-paid users. The number of post-paid customers was up by 6.9% year-on-year to 1.42 million.

Virgin Mobile is the UK’s leading mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) with more than four million customers and 2 Million customers in France. Omer Telecom Limited is the owner of Virgin Mobile. Please see description above. In June, 2011 Virgin Mobile announced new agreement for a Full MVNO service on SFR’s network.
