Lycamobile ofers new discount tariff in Germany

European ethnic MVNO Lycamobile has launched a new discount mobile tariff in Germany. This offers calls to the German fixed-line network and German mobile networks for 9 cents per minute 24 hours a day, seven days a week; with texts (domestic and overseas) costing 9 cents each.
Lycamobile, which uses the network of Vodafone Germany, offers overseas calls from 1 cent per minute, with a 15 cents connection charge pe r call. Calls to other Lycamobile customers are free, including calls to Lycamobile customers overseas.
However, this offer ends on 31 January and is restricted to 5,000 minutes of calls within Germany and 30 minutes of calls overseas. In addition, customers can get free mobile internet access (up to 300 MB data) via GPRS and UMTS until end-January, provided that they have made at least one top-up.
