Porto Seguro, the insurer has created another company, Porto Seguro Telecomunicações, in partnership with Chaicomm of Brazil Holding Ltd, Datora Telecom’s parent company, which already operates in the sector telecommunications.
The project also includes an infrastructure sharing agreement with TIM Celular said Porto Seguro in a statement to the Securities Commission (CVM).
For the new business MVNO model, Porto Seguro will offer mobile phone services to customers and brokers of the insurer in the next coming months.
In an article published earlier in Valor, they said that Porto Seguro Telecomunicaçõe can enjoy the relationship that has with telecom operators with even more discounts with the new activity/service.
According to the TIM, the agreement covers all states and the virtual operator will be responsible for operation, traffic management, issuance of bills, customer service and interconnection agreements.
“For the TIM, the MVNO market is promising segment, and the company has been in advanced in talks with other potential companies wishing to roll out MVNO solutions. This agreement strengthens our innovative and pioneering atitude as from the beginning we have been involved with feasibility studies on the viability of MVNOs in Brazil” says Antonino Ruggiero, president of Intelligence, responsible for Wholesale in TIM.
