SCHIPHOL, THE NETHERLANDS– Elephant Talk Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: ETAK), an international provider of business software and services to the telecommunications and financial services industries, today announced that it signed a framework hosting agreement with KPN Group Belgium NV. Elephant Talk will connect MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) in Belgium to its platform making use of the mobile network of KPN in Belgium. Through this partnership agreement with KPN, Elephant Talk will become their MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) partner in Belgium.
KPN Belgium, a 100% subsidiary of KPN Group, is the fastest growing mobile operator in Belgium with a market share of more than 23% and coverage throughout almost the entire country. KPN Belgium distributes its products and services through 51 of its own retail stores, through the Allo Telecom shops (about 50) and via more than 600 dealers across the country.
“At the core of our full MVNE Mobile Platform you will find our proprietary IN (Intelligent Network) system with ET-BOSS, our Business Operating Support System that manages all capabilities of the Platform, at the helm. It proves the multi-company capabilities of ET-BOSS in real-life, and demonstrates its full support for the business model of Mobile Network Operators and Mobile Virtual Network Operators,” continued van der Velden.
“Elephant Talk’s leading edge fully convergent Mobile Platform contains all the hardware and software systems required for a complete secure operation such as HLR, SMSC, MMSC, GMSC, STP, GGSN, SGSN and more. Most importantly, the mobile platform integrates fully with banks, media and payment systems to support all 4G services,” stated Martin Zuurbier, CTO of Elephant Talk. “Elephant Talk consolidates over 20 telecommunication systems in to just one single platform for all MVNE/MVNO process domain areas.”
Zuurbier continued, “Elephant Talk has a lot of value to add to the Belgium market, especially with our subsidiary ValidSoft in the areas of card fraud detection, prevention and resolution, dynamic fraud security and voice biometrics. Once Elephant Talk’s Mobile Platform is operational in Belgium, to be expected in May 2011, time to market for a new MVNO can be limited to 6-8 weeks. Our integrated solutions are available off the shelf and ready for service in Belgium at any time.”
