Valora has now entered the mobile phone business and, together with Orange, is launching an attractive PrePay offer onto the market. The successful and popular ok.- product range will be expanded from 6 December 2010, while the ok.- mobile offer will be available at all larger k kiosk and P&B/ Presse&Buch sales outlets while stocks last.
The new PrePay offer will be launched by Valora under its own brand ok.- in cooperation with Orange. As with all Valora’s own brand ok.- products, simplicity and an attractive price remain paramount. All calls to Swiss mobile networks, landlines and abroad (Orange zones 1-3) are charged at a standard rate of CHF 0.35 per minute; during the so-called happy hours from 7 pm to 7 am, each minute only costs CHF 0.25. Calls are charged in 10 second intervals. On top of that, customers can get unlimited surfing on their mobile phones for just CHF 2 per day. SMS messages cost CHF 0.10, MMS messages cost CHF 0.50.
« By launching the new PrePay mobile offer, we are offering our customers an attractive product while at the same time cementing the success story of the ok.- brand, » explains Kaspar Niklaus, CEO of Valora Retail. « This fits our new strategy perfectly and also expands our range of modern services. »
Thomas Sieber, CEO of Orange, says: « We are pleased to be working with such a prestigious partner as Valora. Its strong presence in high-traffic locations opens up our wireless network to a new customer segment that is very attractive for Orange. Cooperation with Valora underscores our strategy for becoming the preferred MVNO partner in Switzerland. »
For the time being, ok .- mobile will be available in all larger Valora Group sales outlets, along with two mobile phones: for mobile users who want to use the full spectrum of modern mobile communications, the Orange Smartphone San Francisco with the Android operating system, available for CHF 100, is the ideal choice. The Samsung E 1150 for CHF 20 is recommended for customers who primarily need to make calls and send text messages.
ok .- mobile PrePay credits can be charged at all k kiosk, avec. and P&B sales outlets.
In December 2010, Valora will hold a draw for several VIP sets on Facebook. The set consists of a Smartphone with an ok.- mobile SIM card and initial call credits. The first 60 days, or 100 MB of data traffic, will also be offered free as a further gift, and there are also various goodies available from the ok.- range. Competition details can be found at www.okmobile.ch.
