Telogic Poland, a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) and Metroport – a consortium of cable operators, today announced the signing of an agreement to implement an MVNO project. The agreement covers the provision by Telogic Solutions for the implementation of mobile services for Metroport. Metroport provides the implementation of mobile Internet access and mobile telephony based on a postpaid model. The commercial launch of services is planned to begin in 2011.
As MVNE, Telogic allows operators to offer mobile telephony services, using the infrastructure of existing operators (Mobile Network Operators – MNO). Telogic provides all the services and technology and agreements with the operator, the SIM card management, billing, customer service, CRM, number portability, as well as business consulting.
The METROPORT consortium is a group of 16 of cooperating ISP operators from across the Poland. The core of the consortium is formed by members of a limited liability company of the same name. Historically, the first meeting of prospective members was held in early 2007 and was attended by several companies from the province of Lodz. At this meeting, the questions have become a beacon for their future action: -
“If companies act in the same sector, very often in the same arena, why not keep in minimum contact? We can work together on projects, which are rather impractical for individual companies? We can use the knowledge and experience of all companies to carry out the ideas that seemed impossible for us to complete on our own! With positive answers to these questions, our shared ideas became facts, and the impossible became feasible. Therefore, we are now able to act As a consortium THROUGH the company METROPORT Telogic MVNO startUP project. We use the implementation of our previous experience with the implementation of joint projects. For example, the construction of its own operator nodes in Lodz, Warsaw and Katowice.
The consortium consists of the following entities Metroport: Aves (www.ksiezyc.pl), Citynet (www.city-net.pl), ELECTRON (www.elektron.com.pl), Fastnet (www.fastnet.pl) Forweb ( www.forweb.pl), Insite (www.insite.pl) Insport (www.insport.pl) METROPORT (www.metroport.pl), Mokadi (www.mokadi.pl) Multimetro (www.multimetro.pl ) Our Radio (www.nasze.pl), Net-Partner (www.net-partner.pl) Netrax (www.netrax.pl), RDI (www.i-rdi.pl), Block Network (www. blokowe.pl) SKOMUR (www.skomur.pl) Timplus (www.timplus.pl)
